Accreditation
Are you an experienced communication professional? Do you get the recognition you deserve for your knowledge and understanding of planning and executing quality communications? Consider becoming an Accredited Business Communicator (ABC).

Accreditation is a two-step process:

  • Evaluation of your accreditation portfolio - two representative examples of your work, with accompanying work plans detailing strategic planning, objectives and results
  • A written and oral examination to confirm your ability to think and plan strategically and manage the skills necessary for effective communication.

Above all, successful ABC candidates uphold IABC's Code of Ethics for Professional Communicators. View the Code at http://www.iabc.com/about/code.htm

IABC Heritage Region is proud to offer an accreditation exam on Sunday, October 18, 2009, just prior to the start of the 2009 Conference (see details at right). Learn more about accreditation through IABC by visiting http://www.iabc.com/abc/ or by contacting Pat Masterson, Heritage Region Accreditation Chair, at patomalley74@verizon.net..  To begin the accreditation process, contact abc@iabc.com or call 415-544-4721.
