Crisis Communication and Social Media: An In-Depth Discussion
This extended session will provide insight on the opportunities and challenges business communicators face in our dynamic age. Experts specializing in crisis communication and social media will facilitate this interactive discussion of a number of high-probability crisis scenarios the business community is now facing and will face in the future. The scenarios will be used to examine the application of social media to the 4M Model of messenger, message, means and market, More broadly, the session will focus on lessons learned and best practices in the development and application of social media strategy before, during and after crises. Participants will brainstorm a high-level strategic framework on where we are now, where we need to be in terms of strategy and best practices, innovation, partnerships, and what hurdles we need to overcome.
