It Ain’t Easy Being Green: Effectively Communicating Your Sustainability Message

With the economic stimulus package offering benefits to businesses “going green,” communications professionals have an opportunity to position their brands in a positive manner as contributing to the recovery of the U.S. economy, job creation and saving the environment. Rich will share the results of a study conducted among business communicators in Q1 and Q3 2009 that measures:

•     How savvy businesses are about using the resources available to them

•     Which industries are ahead of the curve, and

•     Which techniques businesses are employing to engage their audiences

Rich also will present insight into how communicators can most effectively and ethically build brand awareness, thought leadership and sales in a marketplace filled with illegitimate claims, greenwashing and “green sheen.”
