Deadline to register for exams: Friday, October 5
Written and oral exams are open to all qualified candidates for accreditation,
including those taking the exams for the first time and candidates who are
re-taking specific sections. You MUST register no later than Friday, October 5,
if you wish to take the exams on October 14. Register by sending an e-mail to
Olivia Nucum (onucum@iabc.com), accreditation and
recognition coordinator, indicating your plans to take the exams on this date at
the Heritage Region conference. Olivia will determine your eligibility and
confirm your registration.
Accreditation Workshop

of becoming an Accredited Business Communicator (ABC).
Accreditation is IABC’s premier professional development program. Those who have
earned the ABC designation have demonstrated their abilities to think and plan
strategically, and to manage the skills essential to effective organizational
communication. In this session, you will gain insight on:
- The reasons to become an ABC
- The steps required to complete the program – application, work portfolio,
and written and oral exam
- The education and experience needed to apply for accreditation
Accreditation Recognition
The Heritage Region will recognize all newly accredited communicators, as well
as all ABCs attending the conference.
