Alexis Piekarsky Stone
Training Chair
Alexis is the Director of Development at Our House Foundation, Inc. Our
House is a private, non-profit organization that provides residential,
employment and recreational services to individuals with developmental
disabilities. Alexis is responsible for all fund-raising and agency
donations and building and maintaining the donor base of individuals,
foundations and corporations capable of providing financial support. She
also handles public relations for Our House, Inc. and the Our House
Foundation, building, maintaining and enhancing a positive public image
within the community.
A graduate of Alfred University, Alexis received her BA in Communication
Studies. She is currently working toward completing her Master of Arts
in Corporate and Organizational Communication at Farleigh Dickinson
University College at Florham, Madison, New Jersey.
Alexis is a member of the International Association of Business
Communicators (IABC). She is the founding president of the first IABC
student chapter in New Jersey. As a professional, she remains an active
IABC member and serves on the Board of Directors of NJ/IABC as VP of
Communication, is the Training Chair for the IABC/Heritage Region, is a
member for IABC International Student Membership Committee, and a
committee member for the IABC Student Conference. Alexis is also a
member of the Association for Fundraising Professionals (AFP).
