Heather Stewart
Chapter Relations Director

Heather Stewart has more than 18 years in employee and marketing communications in various industries with 11 years of concentrated experience in human resources/benefits communications. Since December 2001, she has worked with AutoNation, the country’s largest automotive retailer headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on a variety of benefits and health awareness communications. She also writes benefits communications for employers and union groups in Western Pennsylvania. In her spare time, she teaches business writing at the University of Pittsburgh.

When she joined the IABC Pittsburgh (Pa.) chapter, Heather immediately began to serve as treasurer. She was elected co-president from January 2002 to June 2004 and co-director of the awards program for two years. Currently, she serves as treasurer once again.

In the first year of the Heritage Region, Heather served as director, region growth and development. Then in the second year, she was a chapter liaison. Now she is director, chapter relations.

Heather lives in the Mt. Lebanon suburb of Pittsburgh with her husband, Tom Kijowski, an investment advisor, and Hudson, a chocolate Labrador retriever. A golfer when time permits, she supports Pittsburgh and University of Pittsburgh sports teams. She loves promoting the city in sports-related events. She was a volunteer at the 2007 U.S. Open Golf Tournament held at Oakmont Country Club and at Fanfest, part of Major League Baseball’s 2006 All-Star Game in Pittsburgh.
