Mike Sorohan
Recognition Chair
Mike Sorohan is director of electronic
publications with the Mortgage Bankers Association. He has more than 25
years of advocacy communications experience, including nine years with
MBA. Previously, he was a senior reporter with the National Rural
Electric Cooperative Association and worked for many years in health
care public relations. He has been a member of IABC since 1983 and has
been involved at the chapter and regional level. He has served in
numerous leadership positions at IABC/Washington, including chapter
president, as well as an officer in the former IABC District 3, a
predecessor to the IABC Heritage Region. In addition to his volunteer
duties as chapter liaison with IABC Heritage, he is director of
IABC/Washington’s Senior Communicators Council, a special interest group
for senior chapter members with 15 or more years of experience.
