Randi Hansen
Heritage Region Director-Elect (2008-09)

Randi Hansen handles community relations for Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) and has more than a decade of experience in communications and marketing at organizations in Cleveland, Ohio and Louisville, Kentucky. Her professional experience includes employee, media and community relations at Tri-C and directing marketing, public and community relations activities for the University of Louisville’s Health Science Center. She co-hosted “Louisville Edition,” a drive-time radio show on WUOL-FM and wrote feature articles for the station’s program guide, the U of L alumni and research magazines. Prior to her stint in higher education, she cut her journalistic teeth as a staff writer and columnist for The Corydon Democrat, one of Indiana’s oldest (and best) weekly newspapers.

Randi is currently a member of the Cleveland Chapter and has been involved with IABC for 18 years in Cleveland and Kentucky. She has served as membership chair, PR chair, program chair and president, plus stints on the old D-2 Board, as regional Gold Quill entries coordinator, and on numerous awards program committees. She has also volunteered as an audio descriptor, describing the action via closed circuit audio feed for sight impaired patrons attending plays and musicals.
