Randi
Hansen handles community relations for Cuyahoga Community College
(Tri-C) and has more than a decade of experience in communications and
marketing at organizations in Cleveland, Ohio and Louisville, Kentucky.
Her professional experience includes employee, media and community
relations at Tri-C and directing marketing, public and community
relations activities for the University of Louisville’s Health Science
Center. She co-hosted “Louisville Edition,” a drive-time radio show on
WUOL-FM and wrote feature articles for the station’s program guide, the
U of L alumni and research magazines. Prior to her stint in higher
education, she cut her journalistic teeth as a staff writer and
columnist for The Corydon Democrat, one of Indiana’s oldest (and best)
weekly newspapers.
Randi
is currently a member of the Cleveland Chapter and has been involved
with IABC for 18 years in Cleveland and Kentucky. She has served as
membership chair, PR chair, program chair and president, plus stints on
the old D-2 Board, as regional Gold Quill entries coordinator, and on
numerous awards program committees. She has also volunteered as an audio
descriptor, describing the action via closed circuit audio feed for
sight impaired patrons attending plays and musicals.
